First-use fitting & operation

Skelex 360

Use this quick-start guide together with the current manufacturer manual and training materials.

Fit & adjust
  • Set belt length snug and symmetrical over the hips.
  • Match frame height to the wearer and set arm length to S, M or L.
  • Set support force gradually within the manufacturer range; verify arm cups sit mid-upper-arm and the frame is even.

  • Raise and lower both arms in a controlled area to confirm free motion and even support before work.
  • Tune support for the user and task rather than maximizing assistance.
Care, charging & storage
  • Inspect frame, straps, cups and adjustment points before each shift.
  • Clean regularly; manufacturer guidance allows washable soft components at 30 °C.
  • Store clean, dry and with spring/support tension released as directed.
First-use safety
  • Do not treat support force as added lifting capacity.
  • Stop for pressure points, restricted reach, snagging or altered safe technique.
  • Recheck fit whenever the wearer, clothing, PPE or task changes.

EVIDENCE-BASED PRODUCT GUIDE

Skelex Product Family: what to know before you choose

Radventurers separates manufacturer-published specifications, independent reviews and research, and public field research so you can see where each statement comes from.

Manufacturer-published information

  • Skelex 360 is listed at 2.85 kg with stepless support of 1 to 4.9 kg per arm and a working temperature range of -20°C to +40°C.
  • Skelex positions Edge for bending, leaning, kneeling and lifting from floor level; Neck for sustained overhead viewing; and Ironhand for grip-intensive work.
  • Skelex publishes manuals, CE declarations, research papers and training materials through its documentation library.

Published reviews & research

  • A laboratory overhead-assembly evaluation reported high perceived support for Skelex 360 and significant reduction of medial-deltoid activity during portions of the task.
  • Published applied-ergonomics research has examined Skelex 360 muscle activity across construction and manufacturing tasks; outcomes vary by posture and task, reinforcing the need for task-specific evaluation.

Limitations & questions to evaluate

  • Passive support redistributes load rather than removing it
  • Task/posture specific benefit
  • Fit and arm-cup positioning are important
  • Does not replace PPE or ergonomic controls
  • Workplace compatibility must be checked around ladders, vehicles, machinery and confined areas
